Before Your Tan

Prep your skin

Prep helps your spray tan apply smoothly, develop evenly, and avoid patchiness around dry areas.

12–24 hours before

  • Shower, shave, and exfoliate.
  • Focus on elbows, knees, ankles, wrists, and dry patches.
  • Avoid heavy oils or oily scrubs.

Day of appointment

  • Have clean, dry skin before Rachel arrives.
  • Skip lotion, oil, deodorant, perfume, and makeup.
  • Have a clean space ready for Rachel’s mobile setup.

What to wear

  • Wear loose, dark clothing after your tan.
  • Avoid tight leggings, jeans, bras, socks, or anything that may rub.
  • Slip-on shoes are best after your appointment.

After Your Tan

Protect your color

Rachel will tell you your rinse time based on your solution and desired result. Until then, keep it dry and avoid friction.

While processing

  • Avoid water, sweating, and tight clothing.
  • Avoid skin-to-skin rubbing.
  • Do not apply lotion, oil, or deodorant while the tan develops.

First rinse

  • Use lukewarm water only.
  • Avoid soap, shaving, scrubbing, or exfoliating.
  • Pat dry gently with a towel instead of rubbing.

Daily care

  • Moisturize daily after your tan fully develops.
  • Use gentle, tan-safe body wash and lotion.
  • Avoid swimming, hot tubs, and long soaking baths when possible.
